MyExtraCards was founded by Steve O’Day, who has been collecting sports trading cards for decades. In the 1980’s, Steve started selling sports trading cards out of his basement and his personal collection has continued to expand. Over the past ten years, Steve has brought in his two sons, Josh and Jason, as fellow collectors and business partners to help MyExtraCards continue to grow. Today, we have the goal of building the premier destination for sports trading card enthusiasts across the United States.
MyExtraCards is more of a hobby than a business. It is owned and operated by three sports trading card enthusiasts who also continue to build their own personal collections. We understand the rush that is experienced when opening a new box in hopes of it containing a valuable card, and the excitement when you get the card you’ve been looking for. We know what it is like to build a collection of cards for your favorite sport or player, and how you can become personally attached to your favorites. This is a hobby we are passionate about, and we look forward to sharing our enthusiasm with other collectors.
